Classifying spaces are fundamental in algebraic topology. Given a group (finite or Lie groups, groups of automorphisms or diffeomorphisms, etc), its classifying space controls the theory in question. The topology of the classifying space tends to be incredibly rich and its structure reveals a great deal about the underlying objects.

This workshop brought together leading experts from multiple different areas where research was driven by the need to understand classifying spaces. The purpose was to share ideas and techniques that would generate new research. The involvement of early career researchers was embedded into the programme and further participation was encouraged. The workshop also celebrated the contributions made by Ran Levi.
