The Bayes Centre

ICMS is located on the top floor of the award-winning Bayes Centre in Edinburgh’s Old Town, with a brigh light-filled space offering panoramic views over the city, Arthur’s Seat, Salisbury Crags and the Firth of Forth. As well as the views we offer two well-equipped seminar rooms equipped with blackboards and AV equipment to suit all requirements for in-person and hybrid meetings.

The space includes breakout areas for collaboration, poster sessions, catering, or quiet reflection, with access to smaller meeting rooms and accoustic booths for calls.

The Edinburgh Futures Institute is a reimagined Victorian hospital building thoughtfully and creatively remodelled into an exciting and vibrant space for learning and working. ICMS has access to a classic Nightingale ward: a generous, light-filled space, well-equipped with AV equipment and whiteboards and flexible furnishing to suit a variety of requirements. There are also lots of quiet corners in this warren of a building if participants need to find somewhere else to work or take a call.

14 India Street is the birthplace of James Clerk Maxwell. ICMS has generous and flexible office space on the top floor for use primarily by our Research-in-Groups visitors. This is a unique opportunity to spend time focussing on mathematics in a peaceful, light-filled location away from quotidian distractions. 14 India Street is a rare example of a complete 18th century Georgian townhouse located in Edinburgh’s New Town.
