This workshop is part of the ICMS Knowledge Exchange Catalyst project “Turbo-charging the gift economy through geospatial optimisation”, a collaboration between Newcastle University and Freegle.
This workshop will showcase how academics across different disciplines provide charity and circular economy platforms data insights and empower their decision making. We will demonstrate the whole data science pipeline and how to answer the business questions with bespoke analytics and visualisation. We hope to help similar organisations not only understand the value of their data, especially geographical data, but also address their questions without buzzword anxiety. We also aim to facilitate the dialogue as well as collaboration opportunities between academia, charities and public sector organisations.
