About Event

The annual INI-ICMS Correspondents Network meeting took place at ICMS in Edinburgh on Friday 23 January 2026.

Des Higham, University of Edinburgh, was our speaker and stimulated discussion on the impact of artificial intelligence and machine learning on mathematics.

This annual meeting provided an excellent opportunity for network members to meet and learn about the work of the two institutes, including new initiatives. It also gave correspondents the chance to provide feedback, comments, and suggestions from the community to the institutes.

This meeting was for members of the Correspondents Network only and was not open for general participation.
