About Workshop
The Optimising Decision Making Sandpit will bring together researchers from the mathematical sciences with partners from business, industry and government to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) methods can be used in combination with mathematical optimisation and computer simulation to solve decision problems more effectively and efficiently.
The sandpit will focus on human-in-the-loop decision problems, where computer models provide information and predicted outcomes for decision options, but final decisions are made by people. Participants will explore how traditional methods and AI techniques can be combined to solve decision problems more effectively and efficiently.
