The principal objective of this workshop was to bring the disciplines of power systems engineering and mathematics closer together to address the energy trilemma: the need for energy supply to be secure, clean, and affordable. The importance and potential of the connection between mathematics and power systems has already been established on both sides and this workshop aimed to further exchange problems and methodologies and set up new long-term collaborations, particularly involving researchers in the UK and India.
