The week-long UK-Japan Workshop on Nonlinear PDEs aimed at fostering bonds and research collaborations between mathematicians in the UK and Japan who were working in the area of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). The workshop would focus on singularities and asymptotic pattern formation within three distinct but closely interconnected themes: Fluids, Chemotaxis, and Geometric PDEs. These areas had seen a surge in activity over the past decade, and the UK and Japan were leading the recent advancements.
