£500k for community engagement and training on AI in Mathematics

ICMS has received a £500k grant from XTX Markets to fund a 9-month project aimed at better understanding the AI access and training needs of UK mathematicians.

This funding will be used to organise structured consultations with mathematicians and a series of workshops to develop and share best practices, leading to a plan for long-term provision of AI access and training shaped by the mathematical community and responding to its needs and concerns.

A substantial part of the funding will be allocated to provide access to current AI tools to inform discussion and support training.

ICMS seeks expressions of interest in supporting this project as either the academic lead or as part of a working group,  to assist ICMS to shape and design the details of the programme. To find out more and to apply please visit this page.
