Minhyong Kim to give Abel Lecture 2026

As part of the celebrations surrounding the award of the Abel Prize, ICMS Director Minhyong Kim will deliver one of the Abel Prize Lectures in Oslo in May.

Each year the Abel Prize Laureate and guest speakers deliver a set of lectures open to the general public. The lectures will take place on 27 May. This year’s Abel Prize Laureate, Gerd Faltings, Max Planck Institute for Mathematics, Bonn will give his award lecture, followed by three talks from eminent mathematicians.

In addition to the talk by Minhyong Kim there will be talks from Ana Caraiani, Imperial College London, and Wiesława Nizioł, French National Centre for Scientific Research.
