The conference will focus on recent advances in model theory, number theory, and algebraic geometry, with emphasis on their growing interactions. The event will celebrate the 85th birthday of Professor Angus Macintyre FRS, whose pioneering work laid the foundations for many of those areas, and it will explore emerging developments shaped by his legacy. We aim to deliver a high-impact meeting in the state-of-the-art of current research, inspiring future directions.
The conference will be organised around the following research themes:
- Algebra from classification theory;
- Measurable structures;
- Fields with operators, differential and difference algebra;
- Definability in natural rings and fields, p-adic/valued fields, motivic integration, rings of adeles.
- O-minimality and Ax-Schanuel-type problems;
- Peano arithmetic;
- Model theory and categorical logic
