The UK Operator Algebra Conference brings together speakers broadly studying operator algebras such as C*-algebras, von Neumann algebras, and non-self-adjoint operator algebras. Such algebras are foundational in the study of quantum mechanics and noncommutative geometry, and have been of intense interest for the past 50 years.
The aims of this workshop are as follows:
- Provide a forum to showcase the breadth of research in operator algebras and related areas that is currently being undertaken across the UK.
- Provide an opportunity for early career researchers to present and promote their work, helping them to progress to their next career stage.
- Explore new directions for research and opportunities for collaboration.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive community.
- Provide ample opportunity for participants to expand their professional network.
